Links for Teachers

The Student of the Month program is a school-wide program meant to promote and recognize student success in and out of the classroom.  Students must exemplify outstanding characteristics as a student and/or as a citizen of the school community.  This program is designed to nominate and select students who demonstrate General Pride at George Washington Prep High School.

Nomination Criteria
To be nominated as Student of the Month for Academics, the candidate must be in good academic standing, i.e. no D’s, F’s, or U’s.  A student can be nominated for either Academics or Citizenship but not both.  Students cannot receive an award more than once within a year.

Who Nominates?
WPHS General faculty and administration will nominate students each month.  Each month the staff will be reminded of the nomination deadline, the 3rd Friday of the month, and will be sent a link to complete the electronic nomination application.   Each staff member can only nominate one (1) student per month.
